The Palau de Congressos de Palma, the new and most modern convention center in the Mediterranean, stands on the best location of Mallorca, next to the capital's promenade, just 15 minutes walking from the historic center and 8 minutes from the international airport, which offers connections to the main European cities.Unique architecture: the structure of this building was conceived by Patxi Mangado, an internationally renowned architect from Navarra who defines himself as a man in love with the light of Mallorca and the Mediterranean. His latest prize was the 2017 Art Award granted by the Academy of Arts of Berlin which acknowledges his trajectory as an architect and spotlights projects such as the complex formed by the congress center Palau de Congressos of Palma and the hotel Meliá Palma Bay, among others.This convention center, managed by Meliá Hotels International, was opened in April 2017 and during that same year it received more than 30,000 attendees. Thanks to its efficient, sustainable and innovative design, it has been awarded with the highest architecture award in Spain. The materials used in the construction of the building are remarkable helping it to be a sustainable building. The convention center offers two magnificent auditoriums with excellent acoustic with capacity for 1966 and 471 people respectively, fully equipped with the latest technology to host different events such as concerts and shows, as well as congresses.
