Intro
Firenze Convention Bureau is the official partner of the Municipality of Florence operating since 1995 as destination promoter of the city with the aim to increase quantity, quality and scientific importance of events and conferences to be held in the city.
FCB is able to find the best existing rates for all venues and any kind of service, and provides unique contracting facilitations, providing event planners and associations with a vast array of cost and time-effective solutions. FCB is supported by more than 300 Partners including highly specialized and qualified local touristic and congresses professionals. FCB is part of Destination Florence Convention and Visitors Bureau and its activity of promotion heading for the MICE target.
New, Better and Different
- Advisory Board: A group of important local leaders, which is a point of reference for all the other ambassadors and our bidding strategies. The head of this board is the Mayor of Florence and it gathers together local excellencies such as Careggi Hospital, The Meyer and the University of Florence
- Italian Knowledge Leaders: It was launched by Conventtion Bureau Italia in 2021 with the aim of involving and supporting the Italian academic community in its pursuit of innovation, expertise, and culture. By identifying and supporting the many Italian Knowledge Leaders who have risen to the Presidency of Associations thanks to their skills, experiences, and resolve to represent their professional communities, CBItalia’s goal is to improve even further Italy’s significance as a destination for associative conferences and thus the role of our country in the scientific global landscape.

- Special financial contribution: International associations and congress organizers bidding Florence as host destination are eligible to apply for a specific and tailored subvention plan with the aim to finance or co-finance specific activities related to the congress and the destination
- Florence Academic Leadership Programme: It is a programme that aims to increase the number of international business events that choose Florence as the host city, supporting the participants in the development of their role as ambassadors
- EU CVB Network: It consists of eight convention bureaux representing the cities of Florence, Gothenburg, Ljubljana, Lyon, Porto, Rotterdam, Salzburg and València. The Network offers organisers of international meetings the opportunity to get in touch with eight cities at once. The destinations share many common characteristics, not only when it comes to compact city centres and centrally located meeting facilities.
